Self-destruction, self-realisation or just simple sharing?

Our souls darken the more we judge and overthink things we can not control. 

Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Whatsapp, Weheartit.. and the list goes on and on. Everyone has at least one of those apps on their phone and if they say that they don't, they're probably lying or they all possess a phone that doesn't support any of these applications. I mean, even my grandmother from overseas uses Facebook, Line, Viber and Skype to keep in touch with her family members from far far away. Who would have thought? But that's not the point right now and not the subject I wanted to talk about in this post. I wanted to talk about how so many people do not know how to handle today's technology. 

The other day, I overheard someone saying that we all forget to live the moment as in each and every single situation we decide to take our mobile phone into our hands and start to take pictures of our beautiful surroundings, of our view onto the endless seeming ocean or the view onto a thousand city lights, our morning coffee at Starbucks, our lunch and dinner at some expensive restaurant, some exquisite Lamborghini which is cruising through town or simply pictures of the party we are currently attending. Now, the question is.. Are we doing this because we really feel the undying need to share the current and, in our eyes, precious moment or do we take numerous pictures just to show off and to make others jealous just by showing them how extremely fabulous our lives could be? That's a good question, isn't it? I guess there is no right or wrong answer to give to this one as everyone decides this for themselves, thankfully.

You see, there are so many various people on this gorgeous planet and I'm honestly thankful that everyone is individually different in one way or another. Sure, at the end of the day we all crave the same and we all survive thanks to the same ingredients and tricks given.. but I guess due to us growing up in different places, different times and with different people, we start having diverse views on things, obviously. Which is not even wrong, if you ask me. This way we learn from each other. This way, we can try to see the world through their eyes and maybe try to understand other things too.. Things that might have never been important in our eyes.

I see you've decided to scroll down.. wether it's because you're really care and are interested in what I have to say or wether it's because you're simply curious and maybe even a little nosy, I want to thank you for you time and effort to do so. 

Basically, my opinion concerning the subject of sharing moments with people on social media is pretty obvious. I for myself like to share because it makes me happy. I want people to be able to share these moments and views with me, because let's be real.. How many people really do have the chance and opportunity to visit certain places? Or to do certain things? I would say, and I'm wholeheartedly thankful for this, I am privileged. I have had the pleasure of getting an education, of getting a degree, of getting a job which allows me to pay for my bills and rent. And when there's something left to even book a trip or two and to buy clothes I would like to wear, I don't think everyone can say that and I know there's a bunch of people who would die to have these chances given which is why I'd like to give them the most transparent and honest insight of this kind of world. I don't want people to overdose on the wrong kind of idea some people try to sell. I don't want people to fall into thinking that life is just about expensive shit and hot chicks. Life is not always perfect, it's not beautiful all the time and you can see and notice such things when you go through my posts. You can see that there's also dark stuff sometimes.. Not just shiny stars and glitter cars. My goal has always been to be as human as I can be and to connect with people who are just like me or even who need me.. Even if I can just be there for them to listen or give advice when needed. I have had people come to me because they finally found someone in a pot of thousands who just thought the same way too. My soul might be a little dark from time to time but my heart is the light that shines through whenever possible, and if you'd ask any of my friends they would say the exact same thing about me. So there you go. This is my thought and my opinion I shall gift you with.
